Dreager Safety - Protection against asbestos a wide choice for
building refurbishment and maintenance applications
 Asbestos
is most likely to be found in buildings either built or
refurbished before 2000 and poses a serious health risk
to anyone working in building and maintenance. Providing
respiratory protection against airborne asbestos as well
as dust and metal particles, the Draeger range of FFP3
half masks combines comfort and performance with a wide
choice of design options to suit different users as well
as different environments.
Recent reports from the HSE show that around 4000 people
die from asbestos related cancers every year. Research
has also shown that the people most at risk are those
who carry out building maintenance and refurbishment
work such as demolition contractors, electricians,
roofing contractors, painters and decorators, joiners,
plumbers and H&V engineers.
Twin-filter half mask
The lightweight Draeger X-plore 3000 twin-filter half
mask range, for instance, can be used with a wide
selection of filters including the new Draeger X-plore
Pure Filter range. Reusable over more than one shift and
featuring a patented design for a quick and easy fit,
the Pure, lint-free filters can be used as a particle
filter or in combination with gas filters. Modular in
design, they can also be supplied with an integrated
charcoal layer to protect against nuisance and organic
odours.
Available in three sizes and ensuring a great fit for
different face shapes, the modern X-plore range
incorporates a revolutionary “drop down” design and an
innovative X-guided strap system. Offered in different
versions, the Draeger X-plore 3300 limited life version
is ideal for those requiring an economical yet
comfortable respirator for short duration, one-off
applications, whilst the X-plore 3500 offers reusable
protection for longer term wear.
Disposable Valved half mask
The Draeger X-plore 1330 is available in two different
sizes, small/medium and medium/large, and features an
integral facial seal to ensure a secure and comfortable
fit. Complete with exhalation valve to facilitate easy
breathing, it also utilises adjustable, elasticated head
straps complete with a built-in safety stop to prevent
the straps from becoming disengaged. Where nuisance
odours may exist, it can also be supplied with the new
Draeger X-plore 1300 Odour Stop. Ideal for use in any
application where nuisance odours may exist, this extra
carbon-filtering layer eliminates unpleasant odours and
further improves user comfort.
Disposable Fold Flat Valved half mask
Easy to carry and individually packaged for immediate,
hygienic use, the X-plore 1730 half mask can be folded
flat for maximum convenience. Comfortable to wear, and
incorporating Synsafe filtering material for high filter
efficiency and low breathing resistance, this
lightweight mask also benefits from a soft, comfortable
inner layer and a bend-to-fit nosepiece. With an
adjustable head harness to suit different head sizes, it
also features an exhalation valve for optimum comfort in
hot or humid atmospheres.
Simple to don and straightforward in use, each of the
Draeger half masks can be worn with other forms of
personal protective equipment, such as goggles and
helmets, without impairing performance.
Draeger Safety division offers products, services and
system solutions for all encompassing Risk Management
such as personal and facility protection. Customised
system solutions include workshops, training and
breathing gas management systems, diving, rescue and
high temperature training systems, and tunnel rescue
trains.
