ISG JACKSON TAKES THE GOLD MEDAL AT RoSPA AWARDS

Jackson has once again highlighted its impressive commitment to
reducing risk across its business, with a record haul of gold awards
at the annual RoSPA Occupational Health & Safety Awards gala event
in Birmingham. The main contractor swept the boards with top honours
across all four of its divisions, but this year also secured the
Gold Medal, awarded to companies that have received five or more
consecutive gold awards.
These top industry accolades mark the fifth consecutive year that
ISG Jackson has taken gold and been formally recognised for its
commitment to best practice within its health & safety systems. The
company’s Commercial, Living and Public divisions, alongside ISG
Jackson Special Projects, all maintained the highest achievable
standards in the 2008 awards ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham
Metropole hotel.
The RoSPA Awards recognise the commitment of organisations that
reduce the number of accidents and cases of ill health at work, but
also seek to acknowledge those businesses that strive for continuous
improvement in their health & safety management systems. For ISG
Jackson, 2008 has once again highlighted the success of the
company’s attitude to minimising risk in the workplace and its ethos
of zero tolerance across all occupational health matters.
Bernard Clarke, managing director of ISG Jackson, commented: "This
is the second year that we have submitted independent entries for
every part of our business and I am once again delighted that our
outstanding occupational health & safety performance has been
