NEW PRODUCT FROM JC WILKINS CUTS ACOUSTIC DECKING DOWN TO SIZE
 A
new product launched by the UK’s leading acoustic solutions
specialist offers an effective and environmentally-friendly way to
provide maximum acoustic insulation for timber-framed buildings from
a slimline, space-saving board. One of the best performing products
on the market yet only one quarter the thickness of other systems,
the new JCW Acoustic Deck 34 from JC Wilkins is not only made from
100% recycled materials but is also 100% recyclable itself.
JCW Acoustic Deck 34 removes some of the restrictions which
traditionally apply to acoustic flooring. Being lightweight it is
easy to handle and quick to install and at only 34mm thick it allows
one course of brick cladding to be saved per floor (or alternatively
the room height can be increased). It also allows non load-bearing
partitions to be built straight off the structure itself.
But despite JCW Acoustic Deck 34 being thinner than the average
acoustic flooring it complies with Part E of the Building
Regulations and meets Robust Detail performance targets for both
airborne and impact noise. It has a fire rating of DIN 4102: B2 and
NEN 6064/5/6, and once installed it allows any type of floor
covering to be laid on top.

Both acoustic test reports from a UKAS-accredited laboratory and
product samples can also be requested.
