No capital? ICS Cool Energy offers flexible rental solution
 With
the credit crunch starting to bite and affecting investment and cash
flow in businesses, Cool Energy is offering an alternative to
purchase at a time when companies are holding onto their cash
reserves.
“We have noticed a change in our customers. Many are deciding to
rent cooling and heating equipment rather than buy and we are trying
to help buy offering a flexible approach to rental” explains Russell
Wilson, ICS Cool Energy’s director.
Many of Cool Energy’s customers require hired in equipment to help
bridge the gap during a breakdown and then decide to repair their
kit or buy a replacement. But for other companies financial
considerations and difficult economic restraints mean that some
require a flexible approach and look to rental or leasing as a
cost-effective option.
“Businesses do not always consider the alternatives to purchasing”
says Russell “or simply do not know what alternatives are
available.”
A number of companies do plan for their future but do not know if
what they buy today will be required in two years time or will be
able to cope with any future expansion. By offering a flexible
approach to rental by providing long or short term rental periods
Cool Energy is providing a solution that matches many of their
customers business needs.
With a wide range of brand new equipment either fully specified or
rental fleet, Cool Energy can provide equipment and installation to
suit any process or HVAC application that has a cooling or heating
requirement. Installations can be carried during shutdowns or out of
hours to minimize disruption.
Cool Energy surveyed its customers and drew up a ‘top 10’ list of
the key reasons for renting. No money and capital approval were high
on the list for new start ups and those companies not able to get
budgets approved in time as well as reduced tax – rental expenditure
is 100% allowable against Corporation Tax. The 24-hour maintenance
is also a major attraction and benefit as all Cool Energy rentals
include maintenance of equipment supplied.
Cool Energy has a wide range of equipment with 100mW of fleet rental
currently available. This includes air and water cooled HVAC
chillers up to 2mW single units, air handling units, portable office
air conditioning and process heaters.
For more exacting and customized applications, equipment can be
purpose-built at Cool Energy’s own 50,000ft² manufacturing facility
in Southampton.
“We can offer a wide range of cooling equipment and solutions, so
choice is not an issue. Our main aim is to provide a cost-effective
solution and an alternative to purchase when funds are not
available” says Russell.
