FORBO FLOORING LAUNCHES THE NEXT GENERATION OF LINOLEUM: TOUCH
 Forbo Flooring Systems, Europe’s leading manufacturer of resilient
floor coverings is launching Touch – the next generation of linoleum
– at this year’s 100% Design exhibition in London (18-21 Sept 2008).
This revolutionary linoleum-based floor covering is made from
renewable materials, and is set to take the sustainable product to
the forefront of cutting-edge contemporary design.
The secret of Touch lies in the careful blending of linoleum and
cork to develop a hybrid product able to deliver high levels of
comfort and outstanding acoustic properties whilst still providing a
strong, durable and resilient floor covering.
Touch’s unique design offers a more tactile and textured flooring in
line with current architectural and interior trends. The sensuous
finish creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, suitable for areas
that require comfort, quiet and tranquillity.
The collection consists of two different product types, each
providing a wonderful tactile and natural experience that intrigues
the senses: Touch duet and Touch solo.
Touch duet is characterised by a distinctive surface pattern with a
colour spectrum that changes according to the direction from which
the floor is viewed. Touch duet is available in a range of 12
colours inspired by the natural environment, and the contemporary
feel is enhanced by the combination of a matt and gloss finish.
Touch solo has a delicately textured, matt surface with a warm,
natural look and feel. The six earthy colours of Touch solo open up
a range of design combinations with other natural floor coverings
including Touch Duet, Marmoleum or Artoleum to create an exclusive
design blending a variety of effects.
Touch can be used in areas in which carpet, natural wood or any
other authentic material is considered. Including offices, lounges,
libraries or any other area where a luxurious finish is desirable.
In addition to launching Touch at 100% Design, Forbo has also
committed to sponsoring 100% Materials and is also the 100% Detail
Sustainability Partner for this year’s Sustainability, Design &
Innovation in the built environment conference.
