WRTL Exterior Lighting - New Airtrace Lantern delivers complete
Lighting Control
WRTL’s new Airtrace Road and Amenity Lantern embodies the
environmental and aesthetic credentials craved by lighting engineers
working across both public and private sector schemes.
Its distinctive aerodynamic shape houses a choice of high
performance reflectors in a low carbon footprint manufactured, near
totally recyclable aluminium body; while its advanced optical
technology arms architects, specifiers and designers with the power
to prioritise lighting direction according to planning requirements.
“While its Horn Blue and Pyrite Grey two-tone effect body design
makes Airtrace an attractive option for architectural applications -
including pedestrian access, amenity areas and piazzas - its high
performance also makes it an ideal solution for illuminating urban
and residential roads,” says WRTL’s Managing Director, Anthony
Stubbs.
“Furthermore, its precision performance offers maximum spacing,
meaning fewer columns are necessary to achieve the required effect.
Ultimately, this means costs are kept to a minimum and environmental
impact is also reduced.”
Airtrace can be post top or side entry mounted with stylish single
or double Batio brackets. Utilising specially designed optical
systems for both modern white lamp sources (ExaCT miniature optics
or iReflec100 reflectors) and SON-T lamps (iReflec 300 reflectors).
Airtrace achieves precise distribution control for maximum column
spacing without affecting uniformity. Glare and light spillage are
kept to a minimum to meet G6 restrictions in residential and amenity
locations and its flat glass reflector eliminates the possibility of
light spillage above the horizontal.
Ensuring a long design life, Airtrace is IP66 environmentally
protected against moisture and dust, and is also highly vandal
resistant (K09 rated). Safety in maintenance is assured with an
automatic mains disconnect on opening the body; and maintenance is
toolless.
The two part diecast aluminium body is coated in an
electrostatically applied polyester powder finish. Choice of lamps
include: SON-T from 50 to 70W, CDO-TT 70W, CDM-T 35 to 150W, CPO-TW
45 to 140W.
Airtrace is designed and manufactured to WRTL’s high eco principles
and conforms with the Ecodesign Directives (EuP 2005/32/EC),
including aluminium for maximum recyclability and energy recovery,
the latest energy saving lamps and use of miniature light sources
for smaller lantern bodies, brackets and columns.
