Many well known and up and coming architects from around the world have already reserved their seats at a spectacular dinner at the Dorchester Hotel in London on 23 October 2008 when the winners of the prestigious Emirates Glass LEAF Awards will be announced.

Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, one of the UK’s foremost interior designers with TV credits including ‘RHS Chelsea Flower Show’, ‘Changing Rooms’, ‘Design Rules’, ‘Fantasy Rooms’ and ‘To The Manor Bowen’, will act as host and compère during the evening event. Laurence will announce the winners of the ten categories, of which the shortlisted projects includes entrants from some of the world’s leading architects such as WOHA, Kengo Kuma & Associates, Bernard Tschumi, Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and Foster and Partners and include London based short listed projects such as 28 Dorset Square by John McAslan & Partners and16 Noel Street by Morgan Lovell.

Now in their fifth year, the Emirates Glass LEAF awards have rapidly become one of the most prestigious global architectural prizes, recognising excellence in the international architectural, design and build fields. With architects from all over the world eligible to enter, former winners have included: ARB Bank, Saudi Arabia; America’s Cup Foredeck Building, Valencia, Spain; The Canadian War Museum, Ottawa, Canada; Qantas First Lounge, Sydney, Australia; Kensington Oval, Barbados; Young Vic Theatre, London; UK Watercube National Swimming Centre, Beijing, China; and The Green Building, Manchester, UK.

With more than 400 leading industry figures expected to attend, the Awards promise to be one of the social and networking highlights of the global architectural and design calendar.
