Harbour side hotel opens its doors to the new expansion and refurbishment

The Christchurch Harbour Hotel in Dorset, previously the Avonmouth Hotel, will unveil the completion of its dramatic extension and refurbishment on 1 December 2008. This newly renovated hotel is part of the Harbour Hotels Group’s Christchurch portfolio, which also includes the Kings Hotel in Christchurch town centre.

The beautiful Grade II listed hotel has recently been renovated to reveal an exceptionally sophisticated and tranquil harbour side retreat boasting breath-taking views across Christchurch’s Mudeford Quay.

One of the most impressive and spectacular additions is the new state-of-the-art Harbour Spa and swimming pool. The luxury spa uses Espa and Guinot products and boasts an array of treatment rooms, sauna, steam room, salt grotto and hydro therapy pool. Other new facilities include a beautiful waterside terrace and a cinema room with Nintendo Wii to keep the children entertained.

Rhodes South, the new Gary Rhodes restaurant, will open in November in the hotel grounds. The contemporary dining room is uniquely perched on the harbour’s edge, and opens following the success of the Kings Rhodes brasserie, which opened at the Christchurch Harbour Hotel’s sister hotel, the Kings, in August 2008.
