Leading UK renewable energy systems provider Ecolution recently completed the design and installation of 12 individual Solar Hot Water (SHW) systems for a social housing development in Kingston, Surrey. Ecolution designed the systems using Strebel evacuated tube collectors mounted on a bespoke flat roof mounting.

The development of 12 two-bedroom flats required a system that was not seen from the ground, so the evacuated tube collectors were selected as they are effective when mounted horizontally. Ecolution’s involvement early in the design stages of the project enabled the renewable energy system to be integrated effectively into the building:
