Dunlop Adhesives - Announces massive marketing plans for 2008
The rising star of the tile adhesives and grouts sector looks set to
surpass its impressive 2007 success in 2008.
For any business, Dunlop Adhesives’ achievements in 2007 would rank
as impressive. Since its wholesale launch into the DIY and merchant
sectors in April, the brand has gone from strength to strength with
sales levels increasing dramatically every month. In fact, end-users
and distributors alike have flocked to the company’s products, drawn
by their ease of use, exceptional quality and technical innovation.
Now the Stoke-based manufacturer is planning to build on this
success in 2008 - something that will be driven in part by recently
announced and extensive marketing plans.
To ensure increased awareness and uptake of its products, as well
maximum sales support for its stockists, Dunlop Adhesives has
confirmed that 2008 will see a far-reaching advertising campaign
covering not only trade publications but also consumer and lifestyle
press. This will be backed up by a comprehensive programme of PR
activity to further ensure the brand stays at the forefront of
people’s minds.
In addition, the company is planning to incentivise end-users with a
series of reader offers run in conjunction with high-profile
magazines and offering people the chance to win all manner of
prizes,
likely to include a full bathroom.
On top of this, Dunlop Adhesives is also planning an initiative
known as ‘The Dunlop Sporting Year’. Building on the existing and
strong association between the Dunlop brand and sport, this campaign
will
see the innovative manufacturer offering people who purchase its
products the chance to win free tickets to major sporting events
throughout 2008.
At the time of going to press, events under consideration included
the FA Cup Final, Wimbledon, the British Golf Open and the British
Formula 1 GP to name but a few. Plus - such is the strength of
Dunlop Adhesives’ commitment to this particular initiative - the
company is even creating extensive materials to support it,
including a special Dunlop Sporting Year logo and relevant
Point-of-Sale materials.
Throughout the year, Dunlop Adhesives is also planning to complement
the existing POS package it offers distributors, which already

stops’. It will also extend its range of ‘how to guides’, which
offer the end-user easy to follow guidance on a variety of tiling
topics, from tiling with large format and natural stone tiles to how
to tile showers.
Commenting on the plans, Dunlop Adhesives’ Product Manager, Alex
